Our center is here to assist women in navigating their way through pregnancy (whether planned or unplanned, first pregnancy or experienced). Guiding Star Marshalltown offers:

Pregnancy and Childbirth Services
- Doula Partnership: Dawn Bollhoefer, CD, SBD, is partnered with Guiding Star Marshalltown as a doula. Below is more information on what a doula is.
- Great Expectations: We offer a pregnancy support group the first Monday of every month. Dawn, the doula, and Megan, GSM team member, are available for support, to give advice, and to answer questions about pregnancy and childbirth.
- Infant Loss and Miscarriage Support Group: Holly Erbes and Jenny Butler are both educators, wives, and mothers. Sadly, both have a history of miscarriage and infant loss. They provided much-needed support for each other through those difficult times and would now like to give to the community through Guiding Star Marshalltown. They are a resource for peer support as well as offering a support group the first Wednesday of every month for women and couples who need support though the loss of a child or miscarriage.
- Life After Abortion Peer Counseling: Carrie Lippincott is a wife and mother. A few years ago, she became involved in After Abortion Care. Her Church had invited a couple of women to speak about abortion. This really struck home, and she knew it was time to do something about this issue. Through her time with some Godly women and men, she has decided to help others. She wishes that other women, like herself, can find hope and healing after abortion.
