Postpartum Class: “After the baby, now what?” This class will offer some of those lesser-talked-about topics that some couples may experience after the baby arrives regardless if it is your 1st child or 6th! We will address some of the emotional aspects as both a parent and a partner.
Postpartum Referrals: Guiding Star Marshalltown also provides resources for women looking for support during their postpartum period. We can provide referrals for emotional health counseling for postpartum depression, infant loss or birth trauma.
Miscarriage and infant loss support group: Holly Erbes and Jenny Butler are both educators, wives and mothers. Sadly, another experience they have in common is a history of miscarriage and infant loss. They provided much-needed support for each other through those difficult times and would now like to give to the community through Guiding Star Marshalltown. They will be a resource for peer support as well as create a support group for those who mourn the loss of a child through miscarriage. Contact Us for more information.
