At Guiding Star Marshalltown, we provide age-appropriate Fertility Awareness Education Programs to help women and girls understand their cycles and fertility. We offer instruction in the Marquette Model, and can refer clients for Creighton Model FertilityCare™, FEMM, Teen FEMM, and the Cycle Show Workshop.

Intro to Marquette
Guiding Star Marshalltown offers instruction in the Marquette Model FertilityCare™ System, taught by Rebecca Driscoll, PA, CLC. The Marquette Model integrates modern technology with natural family planning by using the Clearblue® fertility monitor to measure hormone levels in urine. This helps women and couples accurately identify the fertile and infertile phases of the menstrual cycle. The Marquette Model can be used to achieve or avoid pregnancy, as well as to monitor reproductive health, offering a scientific yet holistic approach to fertility awareness.
Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System
While not currently offered on-site, Guiding Star Marshalltown can connect women and couples to another Guiding Star affiliate that provides the Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ via Zoom. This method teaches women to chart biological markers, specifically cervical mucus observations, throughout the cycle to gain a clear understanding of fertility. Once learned, it can be paired with NaProTechnology-trained medical providers for ongoing, cooperative fertility care.
FEMM & Teen FEMM
Guiding Star Marshalltown can also refer clients to virtual FEMM and Teen FEMM instructors through partnering Guiding Star locations. FEMM (Fertility Education and Medical Management) empowers women and teenage girls to understand their bodies and hormonal health. Through education, a free tracking app, and optional medical support, FEMM helps users identify cycle patterns and make informed decisions about their reproductive and overall well-being.
Guiding Star Cycle Show
The Cycle Show an educational, interactive, multi-media, fertility awareness workshop for young girls.
