A Free Resource for Moms

Aggie’s Closet is a free resource offered by Guiding Star Marshalltown, designed to support mothers and families in our community. We provide gently used and new baby clothes, diapers, and other essentials to help ease the financial burden of raising little ones.

Who Can Use Aggie’s Closet?

Aggie’s Closet is open to any mother or family in need of baby items. Whether you’re expecting, a new mom, or caring for young children, we’re here to help.

To use Aggie’s Closet, we kindly ask that you meet the following requirements:

• Show a Valid Photo ID
• Show Proof of WIC, Medicaid, or Food Assistance 
• Attendees of our classes or support groups are eligible to receive extra vouchers for use at the closet.

How to Use Aggie’s Closet

There’s no need to schedule an appointment. Come in, let us know what you need, and our volunteers will assist you in finding the right items for your family. 

Guidelines:

• Visits are limited to once every 4 weeks from your last visit to ensure resources are available for all families.
• During each visit, you can choose:
  • 4 clothing items (baby or maternity) and 4 baby items (such as diapers, wipes, or bottles), OR
  • 4 clothing items (baby or maternity) and 1 bonus item (such as a stroller, crib, or other larger essential as available).
• A short registration form is required upon your first visit.

How to Donate to Aggie’s Closet

We rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to keep Aggie’s Closet stocked. Donations of clean, gently used baby clothes (newborn to toddler sizes), diapers, and other baby essentials are always welcome.

Get Involved

We’re also looking for volunteers, especially college students, young adults, and Spanish speakers to help sort and organize donations, greet families, run the front desk and make Aggie’s Closet a welcoming space.
